Everything you need to know about Designers Guild
Established in 1970 by Tricia Guild, Designers Guild designs and supplies furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings, upholstery and paint collections worldwide. We are pleased to include the full range of their designs among the collections available from Fabric Gallery and Interiors.
In recent years Designers Guild has expanded its collections to incorporate fabric and wallpaper from William Yeoward, Ralph Lauren, John Derian, and Christian Lacroix.
In 2008 they launched a new brand Royal Collection of fabrics and wall coverings, on behalf of the Royal Household, which is a series of collections inspired by the interiors of the Royal residences, including Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle and the first licensing agreement of its kind.
The Designers Guild range currently hasnearly 9000 fabrics and 2,000 wallpapers including printed floral and geometric fabrics; plains, checks and stripes, jacquards, tapestries, silks, velvets, trimmings and children’s collections. The highest qualities of cloth are sourced; from combed Egyptian cottons and Scottish linen unions to Swiss woven damasks.
One of Designers Guild’s most enduring collections is their Varese velvet – great for furniture and now available in over 100 colours! If you prefer pure linen for your curtains or upholstery (yes really!) then Brera Lino should be on your short list.
Wallpaper
Designers Guild offers a huge array of printed, plain, almost plain and wonderfully textured wallpapers and wallcverings. Stylish, modern and utterly versatile, their Plains and Textures work perfectly in their own right as well as coordinating perfectly with all the printed fabrics and wallpapers. Choose from the myriad of colours available to you – from neutrals and naturals of every hue and tone, to softer shades of washed colour and brighter signature accents. Suitable for any interior, from homes to hotels.
Furniture
An exclusive range of contemporary upholstered furniture is designed in the Designers Guild studio. The pieces are manufactured to high standards in the UK and Italy and distributed throughout Europe and in many of our overseas markets. We can supply the whole range.
