Beat Inflation Now

We’ve all seen prices rising in the shops and heard the news about the sudden increase in inflation this year. Of course decorating your home can be a luxury, but we want to help you with a few money-saving tips. This year we’re keen to help make LUXURY AFFORDABLE.

Tip 1: Beat Price Rises

For the last 10 years we’ve been fortunate that prices have been fairly stable. But for the first time ever we are now seeing some of our suppliers increase prices twice in one year. And many are raising prices this Summer by up to 12%, on top of price increases 6 months ago. But if you are quick and ready to order, you may be able to beat the imminent price rises.

A few brands are finding ways to avoid mid-term price rises – look out for Designers Guild, Osborne & Little, Romo or Villa Nova for example. To beat the price rises speak to us as soon as possible.

Tip 2: Look for Offers

It is always a good idea to look for good prices and we try to offer the best available all year round. Sometimes we can can bring special offers that mean fantastic savings. Sanderson Design Group is having a Summer Sale during June with up to 70% saving on selected products.

You can save up to 70% on over 1300 different fabrics and 300 wallpapers from Clarke & Clarke, Harlequin, Sanderson, Zoffany, Scion and Morris. This is on a first come basis starting 6th June as long as stock lasts. Stock will change too fast to list here, so just request a quote from us and we’ll give you the best price possible.

Tip 3: Paint Your Wagon

Or rather paint your walls. This is is the quickest and cheapest way to give a room a new look and feel. Most rooms need no more that a couple of tins of emulsion paint for the walls and a small tin of eggshell for the woodwork. If you are willing to do the painting yourself you don’t have to wait for a hard-to-find decorator. And you should be able to do this over a weekend. For the best job and to avoid basic mistakes you’ll find lots of videos on YouTube that will guide you.

Tip 4: Interline Your Curtains

With soaring energy prices now is the time to prepare for next winter. If you are considering new curtains ask about inter-lining or thermal lining as this will help reduce heat lost through your windows. Full length curtains also help to hold the heat in better than short curtains. And it is worth considering a door curtain plus a draught excluder if you have traditional wooden external doors.

Tip 5: Do It Yourself

Whilst we’d love to make and fit beautiful curtains for you, we fully understand that you might want to save money by doing it yourself. If you want to make your own curtains we’ll still be pleased to supply the beautiful fabric of your choice. If you want to hang wallpaper we can have the wallpaper of your choice delivered direct to your home. If you are comfortable measuring and fitting your own blinds or curtains then you can save money in the process.

Good luck beating inflation! We’re here to help you.
